Canada's Tech sector scene continues to grow, leading to increased hiring and rising wages in 2020 for those with the right skills. Organizations will be looking to focus on more "soft skills" in order to coordinate and communicate more efficiently with others outside of the Tech team. With new graduate hires and training budgets increasing, organizations will be leaning heavy on their Tech teams in order to gain the edge over competition. Moving from generation to generation technology becomes increasingly more present in everyday life. For example, Millennials could be considered to be Tech savvy, but the new generation (Gen Z) are Tech native. This correlates with the surge of new Technology companies that are emerging in Canada. Over the last several years, uncertainty and high costs in the US has made Canadian cities increasingly more attractive to Tech companies. This has resulted in larger investment into the Tech industry in Canada with various companies housing their head offices and operations in the country.
